For twenty-five years, volunteers of the Mississippi Valley Blues Society have been organizing and presenting the Mississippi Valley Blues Festival. The three-day festival is held each year over the 4th of July weekend in picturesque LeClaire Park on the banks of the Mississippi River in Davenport, Iowa. These are moments from the 2009 fest. I loved every minute of it!

The following services are available and are quoted per availability and job. These Photography services include Portraits, Weddings, Children, Family, High School, Church, Events, Product, Corporate, Real Estate, Rock and roll and Fine Art.

Head shots are most often your first impression. They can make or break your chances for a role. They have to relay your character and marketability. My photo sessions are relaxed, professional and individualized. We will meet before our session and determine a direction that’s right for you. I approach each shot like a casting director. “The actor prepares”… however, we are in the business of reacting. For 3 hours we will explore and capture the organic emotions that will separate you from the rest.

The Effluvium

January 2, 2010

My general rule is to never take photographs of Handicapped or Disabled persons. After conversation with person X, he agrees to be photographed. This session was taken in a horribly dank alley, people came out of boxes, shadows and basement entries. The rancid smell of rotting produce from local restaurants, the sense of “on the run”,  the sense of “the end of the road”, a jam box playing country music, Miller Light, Downtown Los Angeles. I approached him sitting on his chair… I’ve not seen him since.
